Mark Uyeda appointed SEC interim chair

SEC Commissioner Mark T Uyeda has been asked to take interim charge of the agency by President Donald Trump.

Commissioner Uyeda will lead the agency until the President designates a permanent head.

Uyeda has, in the past, often stressed the need for his agency to exercise restraint and judgment in exercising its authority.

He is also seen as broadly supportive of business as well as the crypto ecosystem.
